What does zap sats even mean?

Thanks to Bitcoin technology, it is now super easy to zap sats - which for us oldies means sending micropayments from our phones to anyone anywhere in the world for practically zero cost. It is a BIG idea, especially for supporting communities doing good work in faraway places!

Zap Sats - BTC - Lightning - QR code...

If you are unfamiliar with the lightning payment process, but you have used Apple Pay or similar wallets before, this will get you up and running.

• Download Blink, an easy starter wallet.
• Add a few bucks of Bitcoin (BTC)
• scan the QR code

• Select the send option.
• In this case, you choose an amount. Confirm the fee (which is usually close to zero).
• Send.

• Vendors with a Lightning wallet can set a price, ie generate a QR invoice for any and every item in their store, making for an even faster payment process.
• The ln number is a fail safe in case your wallet is not up to date for QR scanning.
